Yield Point
- The first stress in a material, less than the maximum attainable stress, at
which an increase in stress. Not a general term or property; only certain metals
exhibit a yield point.
Yield Strength
- The stress at which a material exhibits a specified deviation is usually 0.2%
for most metals. A general term or property, preferred to yield point.
Young's Modulus
- Same as modulus of elasticity.
